spanish speech to text

anyone know of solid mac/win sw pkg that will take dictated spanish speech convert it to text so my spanish speaking guy that is teaching me spanish can converse with me and me with him. he has win, I of course me on mac. so speech to text share screen, skype, appear, etc. done deal- thanks,

does little good to slog through all the search results would like a fellow sufferers/user experience with first hand experience if possibe-- thanks

Well on the Mac, it's built in. Just go to DIctation in System Preferences and enable it for Spanish. It's under Keyboard.
For Windows... I think there's something called Dragonfly or something, but I don't know

Text-to-speech has been part of macOS for a long, long time. Plus considering that there's Siri on the Mac in many languages, it basically needs to be there too

had it working yesterday now not so much...that means once in a while and I dont know why. but I am willing to bet it has to do with this icon that does NOT apparently reconginze the microphone icon part-- I cannot seem to get the setting correct to turn it on....any fixes for the proper setting to allow the dictation to text app to work?? it comes on my laptop and works just fine and worked yesterday on my imac ...but again fault lies in microphone settings, at least according to the icon...help and thanks

the answer probably is the fact that I had and unchecked setting...pref keyboard f1 and f2 that seems to enable the fn key to work for dictation.!!?? havnt fully tested it yet. but looks promising at least now but still dont see the mic icon within the icon it is blacked out- that cant be right.

I mean, I don't know what's happened on your system, but that checkbox is irrelevant to Dictation. It should work perfectly fine regardless of the state of that checkbox
