So I order the new 24" iMac and figure I do not want to spend the $700 Apple charges for the additional 2gb of RAM to max out at 4gb's. I order an additional 2gb of ram from Ramjet for $135.

Getting excited about upgrading for a total of 4gb!

Well, being the uninformed person that I am, Apple places a 1gb card in each slot (2 slots total). Now I have to pull one card out in order to install my 2gb card. So I only have 3gb's of Ram, with a spare 1gb card sitting on my desk.

I really need to brush up on my research skills sigh!

that happened to me when I would do ram upgrades on PCs. I would forget that I was removing one module to get the others in there. Eventually i remembered but a few installs when that way for me. Oh well, live and learn.

Our of curiosity would that ram work in a 1.83 C2D mini? :D
