Who uses Spark? I like having all my gsuite accounts in one place. Very nice interface. How is it compared to Mail as far as storage space, etc...

all your emails get stored on sparks own servers and your password for gmail also, according to sparks privacy policy

That's the same with every mail app, right? Edison, outlook, spark, yahoo and others.

Not necessarily. Most mail clients do not store a separate mail archive, they connect to what are today mostly IMAP accounts, hosted by the mail provider (Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, MSN/Outlook, iCloud, etc.).

The benefit of Mail and third-party mail clients is that they allow you to configure multiple mail accounts from multiple providers, unlike single-provider platforms like the Gmail and Yahoo mail apps.

I have been an avid Spark user for a long time now and cant have more praise for it. its spam filters are amazing and the smart inbox is a godsend for those who get a lot of daily emails. I also love the calendar integraton.

No, normally the mail is stored on your provider's servers. In order to provide their "enhancements", applications such as Spark have to make their own copy of your email messages.

Apple Mail is just a mail client , you can host your mail wherever you want to. I currently use G Suite for most of my mail hosting , and Apple mail client to access them. I chose it for the good spam filtering and server-side filters. You can write scripts in Javascript that take actions on your mail, you can even schedule them . I wrote scripts to do things like automatically archive mail over X days old, for example.

Server-side scripting is good since you don't have to leave a computer running at home to filter email.

Anyway, G Suite has a ton of features but the ones I listed are my favorites.
