Hi guys

I’ve updated my iPhone 11 Pro Max to iOS 14 and have also updated my AirPods to the spatial audio firmware.

The surround sound is great but the sound doesn’t follow my iPhone when I turn my head or move the phone.

The follow iPhone toggle is switched on.

Any ideas?

Thanks

It may depend on the source material whether the full range of the spatial sound features work or not. AppleTv+ content should support spatial sound.

I have half of the issue... Watching Ted Lasso on Apple TV+ and spatial audio enabled, if I move my head I can feel the difference but if I move the phone nothing changes. Any clue?

Thanks

It was a Dolby Atmos demo on YouTube?

I was impressed to be honest except for the sound not following the phone.

I have the same issue. Moving the phone does not change anything. Once it starts playing, regardless of where the phone is, it is only tracking where my head is turning,

Interesting, I can't get it to work moving either my head or my phone. It is driving me nuts.

There is an option under accessibility/airpods to follow the iPhone. Maybe you have that off?
Do you have the latest firmware on the AirPods Pro? Just making sure..

And also, it works only with Apple TV plus at the moment at least.

Good thoughts, but unfortunately I have found and toggled that setting several times, and yes, I have the latest firmware.
