Speak app?

Hey all,

Has or is anyone making a app that you can type a word or sentence into it and it will speak it back to you?

My spelling is awful and would love to be able to write a word into my iPhone and it can tell me what the hell it is

I just spent a few minutes on the almighty google searching around but wasn't able to find anything. I haven't seen anything like what you are describing on Installer. Maybe someone else can chime in?

Yea i couldnt find anything either!

Anyone think it would be a nice app?

there is a command line tool, called flite. its also available for the iphone. just not comfortable to use. it only worked for me using a parameter to output the spoken text to some wave file and playback that one with aplay afterwards. maybe you can write a script that automates this. at any rate, there is no convenient gui for all of this yet.
