iOS 9 beta 5 (13A4325c) on an iPhone 6.

Last night after taking and sending a picture by holding down the camera icon in messages the speaker completely stopped working.

Nothing I could do, toggling mute switch, messing with volume, switching sources, etc.. Nothing would bring it back. No sounds would work, neither notifications or media. It was like the speaker was COMPLETELY dead.

I was a bit nervous as I rebooted the phone as it really felt like a hardware problem, but thankfully a reboot fixed it.

I was unable to reproduce it by sending another picture, so I'm thinking it was just a coincidence that it happened when I did that. Has anyone else hit this bug?

I've had a few odd ones over the different betas, including the phone not hearing me (not Siri, not calls, not anything), and me not hearing anything from it (again, not Siri, not calls, not anything). A reboot would get it back to normal.

Interesting. I hope these issues get resolved before release. I submitted a bug, but it's probably not very useful to Apple without a way to reliably reproduce it. :(

At least I find out quickly when this happens, since the phone stops making the "lock" sound when I lock it.

Yup mine did this as well. The keyboard clicks dissappeared too and a reboot fixed it. I have a feeling the final release will have all of these little bugs squashed and performance will be buttery smooth.
