Title says it all really, speaker phone no longer works during a call. The mic works, in that they can hear me at the other end, and the speaker on the iPhone is otherwise working fine for playback of music etc. There's no sound from the other caller though via the speaker though.

I've tried a complete reset/restore but not no joy. Any suggestions or is it back to the store time? :(

Maybe you changed the settings by mistakes or a program changed it. Try resetting the settings and if it didn't work you will have to format the iphone.

The last time this happened to me I realised the iPhone was water damaged after I brought it to the genius counter.

Like I say, I've tried a complete reset/restore but no luck.

Back to the store then, pity as this iPhone has been perfect since I bought it on launch day.

Finally got around to taking my phone in, in preparation for 3.0. They replaced it with a brand spanking new one immediately, w00t (although admittedly not a 3GS, obviously ;)

My old one was in perfect nick but the battery must have took a real hammering over the last year.
