Speaker volume very soft on macbook and vista

Hello.

I'm running vista on my alu 08 macbook as well and everything is working great. With the default bootcamp realtek drivers I believe their version 1.14 speaker volume is very loud.

Unfortunately I made a "mistake" or downloading the latest realtek drivers from their website and while everything works, speaker volume is at half it's loudness. Earphone output seems unaffected.

Is there a fix for this?

You don't happen to mean "muffled" do you? If so, there's a thread already on it. Otherwise, the newest Realtek drivers work fantastically.

It sharpened the output quality but did nothing for the volume. I'm maxing out the volume just to be able to hear music. In the past with 2.14, I had to leave it at 30% before it was too loud for me.
