I recently purchased an imac and i've been trying to hook up the speakers. I have creature II speakers and I read the directions and hooked all the cables in the right spot. I plugged the main cable into the headphone outlet. The LED lights on the left and right speakers are not on, while the LED light on the sub-woofer is on. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I can hear slight sound coming from the sub-woofer.

Sounds like your desk speakers aren't connected. I'm not sure how these pseakers work, on an individual basis, but they probably plug right in to the subwoffer, right? Make sure the connection is good, if it isn't you can ask for a replacment (assuming you've tried other speakers/headphones and your iMac works well with them)

He, he, he :D
This reminds me of when i got mine :p
The left and right speaker cables have got a shape to them, one a triangle and one a square, you have to make sure the square and triangle are rotated at the right position so that the square fits in the square ridged hole and the same for the triangle one. ;) ;) ;) ;)
