MY CURRENT HARDWARE:
Late-2013 21.5-inch iMac, Core i5 processor, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD
currently running MacOS 10.12.6 Sierra
THE PROJECT:
Clean-install MacOS Mojave (the last MacOS that will run iPhoto) to eliminate some embedded drive issues (possible software corruption) that are causing problems in Sierra.
THE SPECIFIC OBSTACLE:
I already backed up my User folder. I kept some video footage data apart from my user folder at the "Macintosh HD" level (is that the "root level"?) of the iMac's HDD. (The always kept it apart from other User data.) My challenge: I need to learn how to back up that specific data in its own backup. Can Time Machine do this, or will I have to back it up manually?
