I have fifteen AC/DC songs in my iTunes library, and none of them work. Has anyone else been able to get Genius working with AC/DC songs?

Thanks for your help, here is a screen-capture of the songs in question:

Neither AC/DC or Beatles songs appear to work, likely due to both not appearing on the Apple Store. I have similar problems with other songs that don't appear in the store.

TEG

I believe TEG is correct as others are complaining of this problem with their AC/DC songs on other forums.

That aside, kudos on the excellent taste in music OP.

I find it hilarious that the Genius function only works with what Apple sells. Now, I get that it has to know of the song to recommend similar songs, but if properly tagged I think the Genius function can still recommend music similar to that of AC/DC and the likes. Having most of the AC/DC albums I never knew they weren't in iTunes anyway.

That's what I thought... There is one song in the entire iTunes store listed under the artist name AC/DC.

Since it's copywritten info, they can't even just use the names of the songs in Genius, which sucks. Why are all of the old famous band afraid of being on iTunes??? WHY!?!?! :p :(

I have an issue similar only based around The Rolling Stones, I have all their songs (I know sad LoL) and all I get recommended in genius is The Rolling Stones nothing else it is annoying:mad:.

Because they are:(

So genius doesn't work when you select any of your other songs and hit the create genius playlist button? Those suckers aren't tagged correctly!

I'm not sure that's particularly true. There have been some legal entanglements that precluded the Beatles from hopping on board thus far, though that should change soon now that many of those entanglements have been settled. Most of the other big bands are available (Zep, the Who, all of the Beatles solo artists, Dylan, Presly, etc.)

In the case of AC/DC I believe the hold up is their record company, Columbia Records, is not an iTunes fan and is the biggest reason for their holdout. I am not sure if any Columbia artists or titles are on iTunes, though I am certainly prepared to be proven wrong with that.

Rolling Stones Works For me

I got this from Let It Bleed.

I don't get anything anymore as I removed them and replaced them now The Rolling Stones do not come up (I have every CD):D
