I am looking at getting the speck hard shell for my MBP and was wondering if it is any good? Also has anyone had any problems with the case causing scratches itself? Looks like it might cause some between the notebook and the case.

I've had it on my MBP for over a month now (put it on the day I got it) and so far so good, no scratches, no problems whatsoever.

Its definitely a worthy investment.

How about heat? I bought a casemate leather hard shell yesterday and using it on my MBP has added 10-15c. So I am taking it back and looking at the speck hard shell.

I havent really noticed a difference in terms of heat. It doesnt block the exhaust for the fans in any way, so other than adding an extra layer to the laptops surface, I dont think it makes that much of a difference.

As for the speck hard case for the macbooks, ive heard they scratch them, but our mbps seem to be a little more durable when using hard cases.

I have mine on and as long as you are careful when putting it on and taking it off you should be fine. As far as heat goes, it hasn't increased mine any at all. I really like these cases, but if you are worried about it, there is another case on the market that is similar, but doesn't use tabs. I can't remember the name right now, but you can do a search.
