Spectrum no longer supports Safari if the user is using Private Relay. Their message states.

Due to a recent iCloud update, Spectrum TV is unavailable in Safari. To watch TV on this device, please use Chrome, Edge or Firefox.

Turning off Private Relay gets rid of the restriction.

Been that way with the Spectrum TV app since with a vpn. PR is limited to the browser. App allows use.

More and more sites are doing this, much like many sites block VPNs.

Yesterday, I dumped Spectrum TV. Had to keep their internet as they are the only game at my house right now. But Century Link fiber is down the street, so we'll see if it comes to my house. I added YouTube TV with the Sports add on package. I"m saving around $100 per month so I thank Spectrum for pissing me off enough to dump their TV service.

Wikipedia does the same thing.

When I replaced my 27" iMac who a Studio Mac my Internet slowed to a crawl. I have Cincinnati Bell. I mucked around for days, called a technician, etc. Turned out the culprit was Private Relay. I turned it off and things were much better. I found it out be accident reading a post on Mac Rumors. Someone mentioned it.
