Wondering what you guys think the battery life is. They boasted performance and battery life on the M1 MacBooks but said nothing about the iPad Pro length other than all day.

Should we expect phenomenal battery life as well?

The website says its the same as the Air. About 10 hours. Kind of surprising that it isn't more.

We should expect the same battery life as before. It's still the same efficient ARM architecture.

Recall that the M1 had such a huge impact on the Macs re: battery life, because it was compared to Intel chipped laptops.

The iPads have had A-series chips for awhile, so shouldn't expect any type of similar leap in battery life going from A12 > M1. And it seems to be the case, as officially the new 11" and 12.9" iPPs are still 10hrs with their standard "surfing web on Wifi or watching video"

40.88 Whr battery. 36.71 Whr for last year's model. 11% increase in capacity.

Seems like M1 and 5G use more power, given battery life is the same.

Yes~ Very true. I wasn't thinking when I typed this. Everything you wrote makes complete sense. Thank you!
