Is there a noticable 2D speed difference when using stuff like iPhoto, and iMovie, and watching movies between the MacBook and MBP?

What about high quality movies? I have many DVDs and Episodes ripped into High Quality H.264 files... They run fine on the iMac Core Duo with x1600 but I dunno how they will run on the GMA950

You've been able to watch movies on computers for years. The GMA 950 is still better than the video card in my old computer, so I'm sure it'll play movies, let you use software, etc. ;)

I just watched Ice Age 2 on my MacBook yesterday. :)

Also, there won't be a difference in speed if you're just using OS X (whatever that means). There isn't even a speed increase when comparing my old 12" PB with my MacBook, because the OS ran perfectly fine on both machines.
