anyone know how much it takes to transfer 1 GB of data for each of them ?

usb 2 will transfer at 2gb a minute max speed , more often at 1gb a minute

usb 3 with the one piece of gear I have does 3gb a minute sometimes 4gb

t-bolt has no real world tests.

another way is a one tb hdd with usb2 is 14 hours sometimes 11 hours been there done that.

a one tb hdd with usb 3 was about 5 hours.

these are real world tests I cloned various drives with osx movies photos itunes

t-bolt should do it much faster maybe clone a 1tb hdd in an hour no more then 2
