I have a base late 2012 iMac and normally upgrade to the latest OSX/MacOS when available if I can.

This time I've just done a fresh install rather than a upgrade as had many years of updates. Everything seems fine.

Can I ask, as I've just done it, anyone with similar hardware what is it like for general use, speed, day to day running etc, what's MacOS v1 like?

One thing really disappointed about is that looks like my iMac doesn't support watch to unlock.

I'm thinking that this may be the last MacOS before it's time for an upgrade...

Thanks

Same as before on my 2011 iMac, working really well. The trick is to buy a SSD to replace the slow HD that came with the iMac.

Did you upgrade or fresh install? I have a fusion drive in my iMac so that helps a bit I believe. However I've found a few "hanging" issues on day Photos, I have a large library >250Gb and I think as it's a fresh install it's still indexing etc?
