speed up my EDGE 5.99 t-zone?

5.99 is a basic package. It for phones like the RAZR and such. The 19.99 is for Smartphone therefore is supposed to be faster since these phones require faster connections for email and web browsing.
However, there is one crucial thing to mention. Both types of devices use the same EDGE network, therefore there is no difference on the plan, just the cost and for which device it is.
The RAZR type phones will take longer because they are not designed for web like smartphones.
That's just my view on it, I may well be wrong.
i have a razor i just swap the sim to iphone..so if i get a smart fone from t-mobil and sing up for 19.99$ t-mobli and pop that sim on my iphone my speed will still be pretty much the same..i guess it dont matter its all same sim card just the phone you have ..?
right now i get about 80+kb on ok place..but when im out i get about 100+kb..is that good?
