Received my pre-order Spigen stand purchased through Amazon today and happy to report that it arrived without the printing on the top side of the base.

The stand is light, but solid and should work out well. I also purchased a Rugged Armor case and it is not too bad. Certainly better than some of the pictures I have seen here, not sure if that is due to bad photos or an alteration of the design. I am totally satisfied with the purchase.

I received mine from Amazon as well. The writing is on the bottom, not the top. It appears well made. Great deal!

Guess I ordered too soon. My writing is on the top. Kind of annoying, not sure how much it's going to bother me yet.

Also received mine today and I love it. But where did you get that thing to hold your charger plugs?

Mine is about 45 minutes away but I won't get it for a few days as the handoff between UPS and USPS is always slow.

Someone said on one of the other threads in this forum on this stand that you can remove the lettering with nail polish remover. I'd suggest you borrow the bottle from your girlfriend or mom, grab a scotch-brite (plastic scrubby pad) and get that offa there. :)

Oh...and, ordered one tonight. Going to paint it black when it arrives. I'll post pics (to whichever of the Spigen threads is most active at the time) inclusive of which paint I use.

(Spigen has no plans to make them in black).

actually, the other thread said nail polish remover/acetone did NOT REMOVE the writing.

Whoops! Sorry about that - I obviously misread.

Edit: No, I didn't.

In the "Had my Spigen case turn up today", WilliamG's response at 4:12 states that rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover will take it off. (obviously, from Glene's experience, that isn't true).

So, what does remove the labelling?

there are many ways to solve this if it really bothers you...I think its being addressed at USA spiegen now, as they are sending me a new one free of charge without me even writing them. But you could paint it easily or I just used some Ipad covering faux carbon fiber- the stuff is cheap from metrorestyling.com or amazon, comes in tens of colors and textures....- 3M "di-noc" -used for some car interiors:

I got mine today. Shipped and sold by Spigen from Amazon.com. Even though the writing is on the bottom where it should be, it appears etched on so you might still have the writing even if you get the paint off. This is how mine looks:

Nice! That's fine if it's on the bottom. Hopefully mine does as well. We'll see if it impacts the painting process or not.

The writing is stuck on, unless you apply several coats of (thick) primer, you'll see it through the paint.

I heard it was actually etched. I should be able to get some sort of filler if that's the case.

If it's on the bottom, I won't care if it's visible through the paint. If it's on the top of the base, I'll call them and request an exchange (I did already e-mail their customer service a week ago, asking how I could ensure my order received one without the writing on the top of the base, before I ordered. They never replied.)
