Spinning Beachball for 1:20 Min at Start Up

Since the last El Capitan update, it takes 1:20 minutes for the hard drives to appear on the desktop. The dock and the menu load super fast but then the beachball comes on and it takes forever for the drives to appear on the desktop, what the hell??
Is this common with this update? Is there a solution for this?

HDD? If yes, it's time to go SSD.

Changed the hard drive with the few bad blocks on with a brand new one....and same symptoms....spinning beachball....I'm sure it is Finder related but honestly I don't know what to do anymore
