Lately iTunes has been a royal PITA and I get the spinning wheel of death most time I click onto a new track. It's OK if I let a track come to the end and then play the next one, but if I want to skip to the next track (or several tracks on) either by clicking the 'fast forward' button or by double clicking the track itself I get the spinning wheel for about 10-20s and I can't do anything else in iTunes until it stops.

Has anyone else got this and know of a fix?

I'm running iTunes 12.7.1.14 on the 2017 touch bar MBP.
[doublepost=1511449443][/doublepost]Just noticed something, it seems to be for tracks that have not been opened/played yet or ones newly listed to a playlist. Those that have been played already open/play straight away so I'm guessing it's something to do with iTunes initially searching for the file and then storing it in its cache or something to access immediately next time. Why is is taking so long to find the track initially? I've never known this before with previous versions/computers.
