Hello,
I just jailbroke my iPhone a couple of days ago. I knew some cydia apps I wanted, open ssh, backgrounder, winterboard etc. After downloading a file in cydia one time, my iPhone said updating data and there was a spinning wheel, but it just kept spinning and my phone didn't respond, i couldn't even turn it off by holding the power button? Just wondered if anyone else have this happen or if someone knows what causes this? And what do you do if it happens? I eventually rebooted my phone but I am asking in case it ever happens again. Any help?

You talking about when it says "Reloading Data..." It always does that when you download new packages. You just have to wait for it to finish. If you don't like to wait you can get Icy but I still prefer Cydia.

I've been stuck respringing twice, which is a little like what happened to you.

The first time it happened I had to restore, the second I was lucky and managed to turn it off by holding the home and power for 10 seconds, letting go, and plugging it into my MacBook. It turned on as normal then.

this always happen when you "Reload Springboard" in Cydia instead of "Restart Springboard". i have seen this happen when you install some Rock applications (mquickdo, mywi, etc). What i do instead is just close cydia by pressing home button and then respring from SBSettings.
