Hi, I am breaking my brain over this: I used to use my AppleID on our home devices (2 macbooks) and on my iphone. my spouse & son have iphone with their own ID. I also used my ID on my work macbook. Recently I have bought Icloud Drive storage. I want to upload/sync all our photos. Now my iphone and the two home devices have mixed all their photos in one big pile, that is now in the cloud and accessible from those devices. That was not my plan but there you have it. My spouse & son will have their own separate space on our 2TB cloud drive which is all fine. However I do not want to mix the photos of my work laptop with our holiday photos (i have a lot (as in 100GB) of photos for work, part of my research). Also, I have already shared my work harddrive (except the photos) with Drive.

Now what I want is to take a new appleId for my workbook so i can use icloud without everything mixing up. What is the procedure so I won’t lose my data somehow?

So I want to now decouple my laptop from the Cloud. Then recouple it to the cloud but with a new appleID, so my photos don't get mixed with the other ones (that came from the other laptop). Is this possible? Does it even make sense?
