I just received my 11" iPP and I'm just so frustrated.

Why did Apple remove the ability to use the split keyboard on this machine? It's been a crucial part of my iPad experience for countless years now. This machine is far too big IMO to use the full keyboard. And no, I don't feel that the floating keyboard is a good alternative.

Second, why did Apple move the numbers key on both the new iPad Mini and also the 11" iPP?? As an iPhone user since 2008, I have always had the numbers key in the lower left-most corner. It's burned into my brain. When I'm typing I instinctually reach to the lower left key for numbers and symbols. Why change this on the Mini and the newish Pro's one key over??? Even my 10.5" iPad has both split keyboard and the numbers key in the lower left.

I'd appreciate some feedback. I returned the iPad Mini mainly for the screen and small text. Now I've got this new iPP without the ability to split the keyboard and a misplaced (IMO) numbers key. ?

* (I can't seem to find any 3rd party split keyboards unless I'm mistaken.)

Yes, it is annoying no split keyboard on iPP 11". Apple states: "The split keyboard is available only on iPad models that have a Home button." No idea what a Home button has to do with a split keyboard. Moreover it is not true, as the Mini 6 has a split keyboard but no Home button.

You can remove the emoji key by deleting the Emoji keyboard in:
Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards > swipe left on Emoji (or whatever extra keyboards you have enabled).
This will put numbers key on bottom left.
Hope this helps.

I need the emoji key. And I need to add an Italian keyboard too. So no matter what the numbers key will be reversed. So baffling.
