Now we are an hour further after El Capitan is installated on my new MacBook I would like to use the Split screen but it doesn't work, for me....??

For example I would like to use Safari and Spotify in Split screen but it's saying that there aren't usable screens, also it's saying that it is not available in full frame...

Am I doing something wrong..??

i believe both apps need to support this feature for it to work. my guess is that spotify has not been updated for this yet

Maybe you're right because Split screen does work with Safari and Mail but further nothing for me even Word doesn't work.....

If that's the case I hope there will be many updates for apps soon so it's compatible in Split screen!!

Hmmm, I just put my Spotify into split screen without any problem. :/

Edit: I just got the "No available windows" message also but that was only once I already had two other items in Split View on another "desktop". So check which you already have open, or maybe it's a limitation of having too many full screened desktops at one time, since the Split View is being placed into a desktop of it's own.

I'm having issues similar to the OP. What apps were you able to run alongside Spotify in split view ? The only app that will run with my Spotify is Maps. Now given that Spotify can be run in the 2/3rds view along with maps, id expect it to at least run with other apps that can be sized down to 1/3rd like Mail and Safari without an update from Spotify. Additionally I cannot get iTunes to run is split view with ANY other apps, seems strange ...

So I just tried split view with all of the apps you just mentioned and had no problem at all. Maps/Mail, Mail/Spotify, Spotify/iTunes, etc. Everything worked just fine. I wish I could tell you what the problem is but I have no idea. It seems to be working normally on my end.

Just an update, I read in a different thread how to correct this problem for those whom Split View isn't working. Hope it helps.

Found the fix — this is actually pretty bad on Apple's part. They seem to be slipping. In order to use Split View, you have to go to System Preferences > Mission Control > Displays have separate Spaces (be sure this option is checked). Then log out and back in. Then it all works.
