So, pretty jazzed so far about El Capitan; it fixed a host of tiny things that bothered me (like Mac Mail) and added some features I really like (like the new Notes app).

However, I REALLY want to use Split View for working between Pages and Numbers, which it doesn't let me do. When I open one and Split View it, and go to click on the other app, it says "Not Available in Full Screen". The Split View side also say "No Apps Available". Why not? I can Split View Pages and Safari, or Numbers and say LibreOffice, but not Pages and Numbers. Anyone have an idea why? And how to fix it?

The method I use for split view is to open both apps. Set one of them to full screen. Use Mission Control to drag the other app to the same space. I was able to get both Numbers and Pages into one space.

keep in mind that not all apps are compatible with split view.

Unfortunately, they haven't been particularly hardcore about keeping iWork super up-to-date on any platform.

Like… ever, come to think of it.

Are you sure you have the last updated version of Numbers and Pages ?

Because here, everything is fine, I can split view Pages and Number without any problem whatsoever.

(btw, love how you can create a split view by clicking the "green light" button and holding it, it then let you decide which half you want for this app and them you click the windows you want on the other side. Neat.)
