Hi, I am an English teacher, and as such have lots of CDs ripped to my iTunes library with short spoken word tracks with catchy little names like "Unit_3_A5" so that I can immediately find the track I need during lessons. I saved them as 'audiobooks' so that they didn't pop up during a random playlist of music.
Since March I've not needed them with lockdown (no lessons) and have just discovered that they're not there any more!! Someone suggested checking "books".
My ancient iPad has not been able to take updates for a few years so my audiobooks are safe there and I can access all the individual tracks on an 'album/CD' - phew!
BUT
I usually take my MacBook to lessons and I'm worried about how they'll transfer from iTunes to books on my Mac & Macbook, it's taking forever. It seems there's a chance apple will stick all the tracks together to make a 'book'..... arghh.
UPDATE: Many of them have transferred over but some (which ones??) haven't...
