I’m trying to fool an app to think I’m in a certain location (major city in the US) and these are the only two things that I can come up with.

Has anyone used ITransporter? https://iteleporter.tech/pages/faq
It says that it will spoof your location anywhere in the world. It’s pricey but it is only a one time fee as it is a piece of hardware that plugs into you lighting port.

OR

Has anyone used ITools? https://www.thinkskysoft.com/
Which has a GPS spoofer and it allows you to transfer files from your IOS to a PC. It looks like it is a onetime licensing deal. That you pay for each device that you download and register it on. It looks like you need to download the app from there website and not the App Store, which worries me for security reasons.

I know that you can use a VPN, which you pay monthly on. From what I have read, a lot of VPNs lag a lot when streaming online not to mention that they have a data cap. Plus you are limited to the locations that you can select.

Thanks for your feedback.

How about a simple web proxy? I use the very good NetShade from Rayner.

edit to add: I’d run (not walk) from that iTools thing.

Is A web Proxy like a VPN? I’m looking again to say that I”m is a certain city. I’m looking to fool an ap, Locast to be exact. So the only way to see the city you want to see is that you need to be in that city.

get a monthly subscription to a public VPN
here is a linky:

So all VPNs allow you to stream with no lagging? And have no data caps? And offer locations in every major city in the US?

It's not quite a VPN. A typical VPN would route ALL your internet traffic over it (all ports, all connections). A proxy is just for web (browser) connections, so ports 80 & 443. But yes, the effect can be the same, you can appear to be somewhere else from the POV of the web server or application.
Netshade is for using proxies in different countries around the world, not so much for specific cities.

Thanks for the description. So it sounds like it will not work, as I need an app to think I’m in a certain US city of my choosing.

A VPN should be able to do what you’re looking for. I used to use one a while back and it would let you select a different city.
