Spore dvd showing up blank

I just got my brand spankin new 27" iMac. After installing some other software from dvds, I tried to install Spore - and it shows up in Finder as a blank disc. I just bought it and haven't tried it on another system. I heard some PCs were having this issue but can't figure out what to do on a mac - Help!

Try it on another computer. If that doesn't work just take it back to the shop.
