Sport band sizing question

Last time I bought a Sport Band, you just picked your size of watch (40/44mm) and that was it. I see that Apple has a new Black Nike Sport band. I went to order it, but now they ask you if you want small or large. Does anyone know if those sizes correspond to the small & large pieces that came in the older bands? I'm asking because the small cutoff is 190mm, which is exactly my wrist size. I've always used the short piece before & would like to go with that here (to eliminate all of the extra strap of the larger size), but I'm a little hesitant if they've changed them in any way, that it might be too short now, as I'm right on the edge size-wise.
