Hello All,

Was wondering if anyone has paired a Series 0 Aluminum Sport Watch with the Apple Stainless Steel Link Band. I currently have the Apple Milanese Loop and was curious if the Link bracelet color looks to harsh with the aluminum.

Thanks,
-Dennis

It looks ok, but I find the combo a bit weird. I just find it odd to pair the most expensive band (the most discretionary purchase) with the cheapest Watch face (the core component). But I guess it can look fine, more so on the space gray version with the black link band.

I have a space black link series 2, I'm kinda tempted to get a steel link series 2, but to spend $1000 on something that will be purely a fashion choice, not the highest item on my priority list.

It doesn't look good. It's like wearing a shirt with a sweatpant.

I agree. It doesn't look good at all. The link bracelet paired with the aluminum is completely offset looking. I mean you can pull it off while wearing it, but when looking closely, the brushed aluminum with the high polished stainless steel looks very odd.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I keep debating whether to replace my Aluminium S0 with a Stainless Steel S2, then the band would look acceptable. I just cant make up my mind as to whether its really worth it to buy the new watch, my S0 has had zero issue since launch. All this, just because I want that nice band.

Personally, I wouldn't buy a watchband that costs significantly more than the watch. Would you be willing to consider one of the 1:1 clone link bracelets? They've improved quite a bit and you can get the look you want for significantly less.

The Juuk bands are great. I've had one since launch. Very well made.

Well, you'll definitely how the Link Bracelet's luster is higher than the case during use
I just don't know why you would purchase such an expensive band for a cheap watch

The stainless Watch model isn't cheap, which the stainless link band is intended for. I own the regular and stainless link band, The ingenuity and craftsmenship is superb. Expensive yes, but your paying for a well crafted piece of jewelery and it delivers. It's worth it to me.

Despite the high price, I figured, what the heck, I don't have any jewelry, and the space black and link bracelet just looks awesome!

Agreed. Glad you like it. I think if Apple continues to sport the same band design in upcoming watch designs, this will be a great watchband for a long period.

Just curious, does anyone know if any of the Juuk bands more closely match the finish of the aluminum sport watch?

My experience...

So I went out and ordered the Stainless Steel Link Bracelet from Apple. After trying it on at the Store, I really liked it and wanted to stick with the Apple branded one. I received it the next day and put it on my Aluminum Series0 watch. Truthfully I do not think that it looked as bad as some make it out to be. It is somewhat noticeable but only it you are focusing on it. It is something that I could see myself sticking with.

I also decided to order a Stainless Steel Series2. Now of course the link bracelet looks better on the SS watch. But I am mainly writing this to say how much nicer of a watch the SS looks over the aluminium sport. The SS looks like a much more classy and refined watch and I feel even with it being shiny, it does not stand out nearly as much. I never thought there would be much of a difference but it really is night an day. It is unfortunate because I don't think pictures on Apple's site really do the SS justice to show how much nicer of a device/finish it really is. Every band I have looks much better on the SS version, including the Milanese and the Brown Classic Buckle.

Moral of the story, yes the SS Link can look OK with the Aluminium Sport watch, but the Stainless Steel watch is a much more beautiful piece of hardware.

I read something one person wrote before that said something like the SS Watch looks like a much classier timepiece and the aluminum looks more like a toy. I kind of really do agree.
