Spotlight Broken In Mail

I dont really understand what has gone wrong here, but i reinstalled tiger because my system was totally corrupt (oh how i love being apples beta boy). after i finished installing the os i copied back the mail folder from my old library into my new one and i rebuilt the mail box, that worked but for some strange reason spotlight is just not working in mail for me.

thing funny thing is that spotlight works everywhere else and email message to appear when i do regular spotlight searches and they do open the messages in mail.

does anyone know how i could fix spotlight in mail? any help would be appreciated.

So you type something into the search bar in Mail, and what happens? Nothing? Bad results? Mail crashes?

before the search thing would have came up but no results would have been shown nothing, but now it is decided to start working. i guess these apps just fix them selves.

Did you do anything at all that might ahve fixed it?? I can't figure out what's wrong, I have the same exact problem you were experiencing. Help!
