Spotlight entry window crashing constantly

Has anybody experienced the same? I open the spotlight search and during entering a search phrase the window disappears/crashes, the spotlight icon driefly disappears and comes back and it takes a few seconds until i can start searching again. apparently spotlight crashes.

i have sent in feedback but id like to know if its only me.

Yeah I've been experiencing this quite frequently too, even with something simple like doing math inside it. I filed a radar which got tagged as a duplicate. There are so many crash logs piled up related to Spotlight on my machine...

Same issue. It's frustrating as hell.
Tried switching specific parts on/off but nothing helps.

I am experiencing the same issue to. After I type a few characters it disappears.

this seems to be resolved with DP6, havent had crashes since

Oh hey, I don't have Spotlight at all anymore since updating to DP6. Currently encrypting with FileVault, is Spotlight not available while doing that?
