Hi!

Since I moved month ago from iP11 to iP13 I cannot make the Spotlight work. Every time I pull the screen down to look up for something it keep showing only Siri suggestions or just blank screen. The same was in iOS 15.1, and is with iOS 15.2. I have already tried:
- resetting iP (both, hard and regular switching on and off)
- switching to different language
- turning off and on "learn from this app" on each app I installed on iPh
- restoring as new iPhone

Just can't make the Spotlight work - in some cases after resetting the iPhone, I have 10 seconds to make one or two searches, until it shows blank screen again. Restoring iPhone helped for a few hours - after 3 hours, Spotlight got broken again.

Had anyone had the same problem and was able to solve it somehow?

Hey there!
I have the same problem with my iPhone 11 Pro on iOS 15.2. For now, I couldn't find the fix for this issue. I've talked with Apple’s support and the only solution proposed at this time is to reset the iPhone settings to the factory state. It's not working as you said in your post. I'm going to send them this thread - it seems like there are more people with the same problem and they need to deep into it.

Hi! I contacted Apple and they gave me two choices: one was to update the phone using computer and recovery mode, the second to reset to factory settings and configure as new iPhone and only then log in to iCloud to restore all contacts and photos (but do not restore as previous iPhone). Meaning you will lose most of your settings. I risked and did so, and it is working. Now working to recover all my apps and settings one by one.

Hey :) I've just tried to use the “Update” the iPhone using the Recovery Mode without losing all content on my Mac and... It doesn't fix the problem :) I think that the only proper method to get rid of that annoying issue is to reset the iPhone to factory state and import data from the iCloud (without settings). So I need to configure it as a new device. I don't like this. I'll wait until iOS 15.3 release and check the result of the update. I leave re-configuration of the device as the last method.

Hey,

FYI

After updating the iOS to version 15.2.1, the issue still exists.

The newest update - @olexi said that the issue exists on iOS 15.3 beta. I've installed the official release of 15.3 and we have still the same problem in place.

Great news guys! I just updated my iPhone 11 Pro to iOS 15.4, and the problem's gone. I can use the Spotlight finally without any issues ;)

That’s great to hear! Weird it’s still happening on iOS 15.4 for me and some other users.

Did you try replicating the issue by hand too?

Different hardware takes to 15 differently. My 1st Gen SE has consistently had far fewer bugs than my 13 mini on the same version. To the point my 13 mini sits SIM free in a drawer as its pretty much crippled for handsfree and nav voice car use. That's a critical need I have and my 13 is a $1,000 solution looking for a use case that can fit the limited functionality Apple was capable of providing.
