Just for the hallibut i typed in (activity monitor) and I was able to click it in spotlight and activity monitor opened up.
Fine, but now when I click on spotlight again to search for something else spotlight keeps showing the search for activity monitor. How can I clear it so that it will bring up a new search window?
thanks for a reply

I think they do that in case the file you selected wasn't actually what you wanted, you won't have to search again to get back to the search results. If you want the search to be "over", hit the return key instead of clicking anywhere and that will launch the app. (It's also faster!)

Thanks for the replies. I just tried it again and a new search window opened up on it's own.

One more thing how and where do I click to show the problem was resolved?
