Spotlight search no longer finds contacts?

Is this a purposeful change or a glitch? I use it dozens of times per day and it is killing me to lose it. I also no longer see the ability to change the order of results. Am I missing something? Thanks!

Hmm, Spotlight pulls up contacts OK on my iPhone 6 w/ iOS 9.

I have the same issue. (iPhone 5) Spotlight search has stopped working. Nothing is found. No contacts, no nothing. (I can search inside contacts just fine)

I have tried turning off things from spotlight search and re-enabling them. It does nothing.

Something about the search index is just SO BROKEN. So frustrating.

Mine is hit or miss, works sometimes and other times nothing.

Turned off Siri suggestions and it went back to working. Guess I'll leave that off. I like Siri suggestions but not that much.

Yep, same intermittent issues here (i5 and Air 2 on 9.1b1)

Annoying, but I am guessing they will take care of that through software updates. My Siri dictation was not working at all this morning either, but now it is after running today's software update.
