I use to be able to pull down on my screen and type the app I want to use and it'll show up. Now it doesn't do it anymore. I don't remember when it stopped, but it use to be a really useful feature considering how many apps I have on my 256gb iPhone 7plus. Does anyone know how to repair this problem? I've tried hard reset, and disabling and reenabling everything in the spotlight settings.

Still works for me. Pull down from mid-screen, type app name in the Search box. After the first few letters typed, app name shows in Top Hit box. (iPhone 6S Plus, iOS 10.2 updated last nite) My test example was FedEx, which I can never find quickly amidst hundreds of apps.

Yeah that's exactly how it worked for me before. Now it will search and display literally everything except the actual app. It'll even show the app on the app store, and when I click it, it'll bring me to the app store.

Have you upgraded to iOS 10.2? If not, maybe the upgrade would restore the desired behavior again. If already upgraded and device resets with no joy, I'm stumped. My own personal nitemare is to have to "set device up as new."

Yeah I'm at 10.2. My next step is probably wiping and setting up as new. I think this happened when I ported from my 6S Plus to my 7Plus about a month or so ago. Sucks but oh well...
