I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but does anyone know if spotlight search is only applicable for your current phone? Or can you search for things you did on a previous phone? I have two iPhones under my name. My husband was sending questionable Texts about a year ago to a specific girl. He says he hasn't texted her since then, however messages to and from her show in his spotlight search bar. He swears to god they're from before he broke his phone and got a new one. He doesn't back his phone up or sync it ever, so I don't see how these texts aren't recent. Am I making sense or am I crazy? If he's still being a jerk, I would like to know so I can explore my options. Thanks in advance!

If the phone wasn't set up as new but instead restored from a backup, it'll have the text message history going back forever. I can still pull up text messages from years ago on my 6+
Not my place in things but if he's admitted fault here, why don't y'all delete the text chain between him and her...then they wouldn't show up.
