I couldn't find a setting for this but you used to be able to search for someone in your contacts in spotlight but now you can't. It's really annoying you have to launch the contacts app to find someone now. Any fix??

Go to Settings > General > Spotlight Search and make sure that Contacts is turned on. It works for me (on a 6).

Sometimes a reboot fixes this. Hold the Power button and the Home button together until you see the Apple logo.

I tried the reboot and it still doesnt work

Are you sure it works for you? I cant believe I'm the only person with this problem

Mine finds contacts, but not installed apps.
And yes they are switched on in the spotlight settings.
