I'm having a weird problem where suddenly my iPhone (4, 6.0) now has no free memory, even once I have quit all the apps. Very few JB apps will now run (they crash when they try and do too much, probably for lack of RAM).

I'm down to <30MB of free RAM with no apps open. Springboard currently has RSIZE of 308M and VSIZE of 712M.

This started happening today, after which I had a major problem where my SB took up only a quarter of the screen, and the rest was flashing colours. I gather that this was a problem with A3Tweaks APEX tweak. Upgrading it fixed the problem, but SB is still taking up way too much RAM (weirdly, because I haven't installed anything new or upgraded since APEX came out a week ago).

Any idea what's going on? My iPhone has become almost unusable.

My guess is Apex is your problem. Have you tried removing it along with any leftover plist files to see if the problem goes away?

I actually think it may have been SideSettings, which is a tweak I installed at the same time as Apex. I've removed it and my SB is down to using 10-60MB of RAM. I'll give it some time and see if something changes.

Ok well it was neither SideSettings nor Apex. After respring memory is normal, but after a time SB is using more than 300MB of RAM and I now just don't understand what's going on!
