It looks like I will be using Simplenote to replace the apple note app. However, I am wondering which other note app is better, Springpad or Evernote? I have only downloaded them both and read a little online. I want to be able to use them on desktops, ipads and iphones.

From a glance, it seems like Evernote has all the features. However, it looks like Springpad can be used like the "Things" App, to make a checklist of things that need to get done.

Do you use these apps, or just one of them?

I used evernote for a bit, the iphone app was quite nice but never thought much of the mac app. Overall I think I saved about 4 notes in a few months.
After reading about springpad I decided to give it a go, the iphone app is much nicer and although there's no mac app I just use the web version in fluid. I've now got about 1000+ notes aswell as to-do lists, check-lists etc. I find it much easier to save different types of notes using their built in presets (e.g. if I find a movie I want to watch on IMDB I save it using the bookmarklet and springpad will pull in list of actors, picture of dvd cover, synopsis, links to buy it on amazon, watch trailer etc).
Give both a go and see which you prefer but my vote goes to springpad

Great comments. I've often found in so many forums and blogs that it really comes down to this: what do you want to "do" with your information. Do you want to keep it in an electric filing cabinet or do you want to use it to find deals, recipes, buy movie tickets, etc. I recently drew up a comparison chart comparing the two and would love your opinion!! http://wp.me/ptgV6-bf. Thanks guys!!
