hi all, just wanted to see if anyone can confirm if the sprint iphone 5s works on tmobile and if it's compatible with its 3g and lte networks. Does everything work?

I cannot confirm that because I have never been on T-Mobile. However, based on specs you'll get 2G/3G and LTE on 1900mhz which is what the Sprint 5s is capable of.

Sprint phones are sim locked and can only be unlocked for international use. The lock still remains for domestic carriers. A Verizon 5S is fully unlocked for foreign and domestic carriers. Steer clear of sprint iPhones if you are looking to use them on other carriers.

What you are saying would be true around this time last year. But as of February 2015, Sprint started granting DSUs (Domestic SIM Unlock) for paid off iPhone 5c, 5s, 6 and 6+. You don't even have to be a customer anymore. Just as long as the phone is paid off.
You are still correct in regards to the iPhone 4s and iPhone 5 however. Those two phones cannot receive a DSU. However, some customers are reporting that an international unlock for these iPhones has been converting into a full domestic unlock. In the case of the 4s, it's also had the issue of forever locking out that 4s from being on Sprint's network.
The Sprint iPhone 4 has no external SIM card tray so there is nothing to be done with that phone.
Sprint will offer a MSL code for the 4s and the 5, but this is irrelevant as Apple does not use MSL codes and there is no way to input one or change the iPhone's programming.

The changes are only about seven months old and I highly doubt that if Dan Hesse was still running Sprint they would have happened at all. Or at least been anywhere close to this.
Initially, it was being said that Sprint would only DSU if your device had been designed before February 15, 2015. Based on all the language I had read I also made those statements. But that turned out not to be the case.
Sprint is still being shady in that they offer a code for the 4s and 5 that you can't use. They know you can't use it, but the average Sprint user does not so it looks as if they are being "generous" when they aren't.
Even if you could use the code (and you can't) YOU would have to do it. None of the employees at other carriers would do it for you.
