Sprint/Samsung are on the ball

Seriously.

It isn't Marshmallow, but another update came out that fixed some bugs. That means that, as of now, there has been an update almost every month (none in October). That's a huge step up from what I heard about before where updates basically didn't happen.

This is on the S6.

This makes me really hopeful for Samsung in the future, if they're able to keep this up. I know that a lot of the work is done by Google, but the fact that they're pushing out the monthly updates when we all rolled our eyes opened assumed it'd fail is an excellent step.

Any other company, sans Google, keeping up with the monthly update schedule?

Ummm, not Samsung sending out updates. It is Sprint.

As for other companies, Motorola has already released 6.0 to the Moto X Pure Edition handsets (every generation).

Samsung has nothing to do with the updates you are receiving from Sprint right now. And yes, Sprint sends out updates when there are changes to their network or security updates for their network. Did I burst your bubble? All the carriers do this BTW, and at different times.

Samsung has to code them into TW. It isn't as though Sprint is doing it for them. It isn't as though Google is doing it for them. Google patches AOSP. Samsung sees the patch, puts it into their TW-Android. They then send it to Sprint.

You are confusing two separate things. Sprint (and the other carriers) are constantly sending out updates for patches related to their network. This has nothing to do with OS updates that come from Google. Stage fright was an OS patch not related to carrier networks. What you are receiving is carrier related.

I have no simpler way to explain this to you. Believe what you want, but I'm done with this thread.
