Has anyone purchased square trades 2 year ipad warranty against spills drops and hardware damages for their ipad. For 100 bucks your ipad is covered. Please discuss your thoughts, concerns, and experiences.

I just got the one year...
PEACE IN MIND LOL
if anything happens ill get a new ipad for
50 (deductible) + 46 (policy) + 42 (tax)
150... not bad for a $670 product....
One thing that bothers me is theft... How do you prove that?
Police report? I mean how do you make sure ppl are not abusing the system?

Ummmm, I didn't think it covered against theft.

Kev if u can direct me to these threads that would be great as i have notseen any. Also does applecare protect against self inflicted damages? I thought it just protected against manufactur defects beyondtheoneyear warranty

AppleCare does not cover accidental damage/breakage. SquareTrade does. Neither covers loss due to theft, though SafeWare even covers that (though it's more expensive than SquareTrade so you have to decide if you think the extra money for theft/loss coverage is worth it.)

As for finding the other threads, you see at the top of the page where one of the options says "Search"? Click on that, type "SquareTrade" in the box, and on the right select the "iPad" forum, and then hit return. All the threads discussing SquareTrade's iPad warranty are right there.

Ooooops!
I meant that I went with Safeware...
46 for policy
50 for deduct....
Cover everything from drop to lava spill and theft is also covered
