Squeaky Keyboard.

Ok, this is a minor complaint, but the keyboard on my new MBP squeaks. It's annoying.

Anyone else noticing this?

what do you mean that it squeaks? do you mean when you press down on the keys? are you sure it isn't the hinge?

there isn't much room for the keys to "squeak"

there really isn't much metal to cause the squeak

It squeaks. Right before the key bottoms out when pressed there's a little squeak. If you type slow it doesn't happen, but when I'm really hammering it sounds like a bag of mice. It's especially noticable on the space bar.

It's weird. Never had a keyboard squeak before. I'm assuming it's going to go away when the newness factor runs out.

I have this happen to my space bar pretty frequently...I've done a google search and there are other people who have posted over on the Apple forums who have the same problem. It is kind of annoying, but I guess it's something that has to be dealt with.

yep.. i get it on my spacebar too.. its weird.. its like one of those squeaks you get when you write with a mechanical pencil.. sometimes when you use new lead on a mechanical pencil it makes squeaking sounds when you write.. this is exactly what it sounds like!... but only happens on my spacebar.. not much else that I can notice..

If you pry it off, jiggle it all around a little, I think it will go away. That's what the genius did on mine and it seemed to have solved the issue. I read others who had the same experience.
