SR MacBook - Loud optical drive compared with CD MacBook?

Hi all,

So it might just be me, but I think the superdrive on my SR MacBook is noticeably louder than the combo drive on my old CD MacBook when watching a DVD, when the drive would used to spin down slightly after the start to a quieter level. I don't have them both side by side to compare though. Anyone else noticed this?
