Hello,
I hate to say bad things about my macbook, but has anyone else had the battery health drop on thiers?
I purchased mine a week ago, first thing I did was a calibration and then for the whole week the health sat at 98%. Thinking that it was a bit off, I did another calibration just before i left for work, and now i've fully charged it and its dropped to 97%!
I'm not sure if this is the norm with macbooks, but my 2 year old ibook (last revision 12") has sat on 99% health and has only recently dipped to 95% with over 100 charge cycles.
More importantly im scared that if I bring it through any more charge calibration cycles or just general use it'll drop even further, I commute over 5 hrs a day to get to/from work and although I havn't taken this compy for the ride yet, when I do i dont want the battery only giving me a couple of hours life instead of the max it can give me (all i do is type/surf net/itunes on the train)
Is this something i can just return to the local apple store and claim it back form them? I bought the macbook from there, and has anyone had any experience with battery returns? Do they take the whole notebook or just the battery? I couldn't part with my (2nd*) baby if i had to!!
* 1st baby is my lovely girlfriend watching me type this on the lounge *cowers in fear*
