Hey Guys. I've been stress testing my new 15.4" 2.4ghz SR Macbook Pro in windows with a combination of Intel TAT putting full load on both cores and doing a ATI-Tool Artifact test.
According to Intel TAT my load temps hit low 90's/89's. GPU seems to sit around 85c. Intel TAT notes that the 2.4ghz CPU clocks itself down to 1.2ghz for a few seconds. Then clocks itself back up, then down again. On both cores.
The GPU seems to clock itself down to 375mhz/502mhz (core/mem). Note that they are not 3D LP or 2D clocks.
What should I do, should I contact apple? The macbook pro has to throttle itself to remain stable. I'm running these tests in a 20c environment, it can only get worse in summer (mid winter here in Australia).
Below I've taken a screen capture of the situation.
