SR MBP 15'' screen doesn't have grain anymore!

I went to the mac store yesterday to check out the new screens. I noticed it does not have the 'grain' that the non-LED screens suffer from.

Also noticed that the LED brightness, when you go to the lowest setting, is pretty low. Seems lower than my 15'' C2D.
