hey

all of the sudden my macbook takes forever to boot. i removed bootcamp, bought a bluetooth mouse, and thats all i've changed. the desktop was going horribly slow, so i did a force reboot, and ever since then the boot has taken forever. it hangs at the white screen then after about 45 seconds the apple pops up.

Grab your Tiger DVD and insert it. Restart you computer holding down on the C button and run disk utility off of the dvd. This should correct this problem. If not, back up your data and possibly do a clean format. If you don't want to do the format, why not try calling up apple care and see if they have any other solutions :D

Good Luck!

My MBP did the same thing after I uninstalled Bootcamp as well. What I did to fix it was to to reselect OS X as the default boot disk. This can be found in the Startup Disk menu, inside of System Preferences.

Like you, the computer would take well over a minute to boot up. After I chose OS X as the default startup volume, it was back to its normal boot time of around 30 seconds. I hope it works for you!

i guess its not so bad because i rarely actually reboot it.
